1. Introduction
BookZero (the "Platform"), operated by Blacklist Global, is the UAE's first zero-deposit car rental marketplace. The Platform connects renters ("Users") with independent car rental companies and individuals ("Partners"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the BookZero website and any bookings made through it.
2. The Role of BookZero
BookZero is a marketplace and directory. We do not own, rent, or control the vehicles listed on the Platform. All rental agreements are made directly between the User and the Partner. BookZero is not a party to any rental agreement and acts solely as an intermediary.
3. Zero-Deposit Listings
Listings marked as "No Deposit" or "Zero Deposit" indicate that the Partner does not require a security deposit for that vehicle. Some Partners may instead offer a deposit-free option for an additional surcharge, clearly shown on the listing. BookZero does not guarantee that every listing is deposit-free — Users should confirm the deposit terms directly with the Partner before renting.
4. User Responsibilities
Users must provide accurate and truthful information, hold a valid driving licence accepted in the UAE, and meet the minimum age and licence-hold requirements stated on each listing. Users are responsible for traffic fines, Salik (toll) charges, fuel, and any damage caused during the rental period.
5. Bookings and Communication
BookZero facilitates direct contact between Users and Partners via WhatsApp or phone. Confirming availability, pricing, pickup location, delivery, and rental terms is the responsibility of the User. Any payment for the rental is made directly to the Partner, not to BookZero, unless stated otherwise.
6. Insurance and Damage Coverage
Many listings include basic insurance. Some Partners offer optional "Blacklist No Deposit Coverage" — a damage coverage product underwritten by Blacklist. The scope, limits, and cost of any coverage are shown on the listing and must be confirmed with the Partner. BookZero is not an insurance provider.
7. Partner Listings
Partners are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including photos, pricing, availability, and vehicle condition. BookZero reserves the right to remove, pause, or reject any listing that is inaccurate, misleading, or violates these Terms.
8. Prohibited Use
Users may not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to fraud, sub-letting without the Partner's consent, or using a vehicle for illegal racing or transport of prohibited goods. Violators may be permanently banned and reported to authorities.
9. Reports and Disputes
Users can report a Partner or listing via the in-page report tool. BookZero will review reports in good faith and may take action including warnings, listing removal, or Partner suspension. BookZero is not liable for resolving disputes between Users and Partners but may assist with mediation.
10. Limitation of Liability
BookZero is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookZero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from any rental agreement or use of the Platform.
11. Changes to These Terms
BookZero may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The effective date below indicates the last revision.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
