How it works
Four simple steps, from report to verdict.
Find the company
Search for the rental partner you booked with on BookZero so your report links to the right listing.
Describe what happened
Tell us the issue, the date, and attach any photos or WhatsApp screenshots as evidence.
We investigate fairly
Our team reviews your report and gives the company a chance to respond before any action.
You get a verdict
We record the outcome — warning, removal, or suspension — and tell you what was decided.
What you can report
Pick the issue that fits — we'll take you to the form.
Report a company
Search for the rental company you booked with. The report is linked to their BookZero listing so we can investigate accurately.
Your rights when you report
We treat every report the way we'd want ours treated.
A fair hearing
Both sides are heard before any action. We never punish a company on one report alone without evidence.
Private by default
Your contact details stay private. They're only used to investigate and to update you on the outcome.
Verified partners only
Every BookZero partner is a KYC-verified rental company — never an anonymous private owner.
Real escalation
For serious cases — fraud or stolen deposits — we can connect you to our debt-collection and legal partners.
What happens after you report
A clear timeline, no black boxes.
Day 0
Your report is filed and marked pending. You get a confirmation on screen.
Day 1–3
Our team reviews the report and may ask you for extra evidence (photos, WhatsApp, contract).
Day 3–7
The company is contacted and given a chance to respond. Both sides are weighed fairly.
Day 7–14
A verdict is recorded — warning, listing removal, partner suspension, or no action — and you're notified of the outcome.
Frequently asked questions
Everything else you might want to know.
How do I report a rental company on BookZero?+
Search for the company on this page, pick the listing you booked, choose the issue type, describe what happened, and attach any evidence. Our team reviews every report.
Do I need to have rented through BookZero to report a company?+
The report form links to a BookZero listing, so the company needs to be listed on our marketplace. If you dealt with a company that isn't on BookZero, email our team and we'll help directly.
What happens after I submit a report?+
Your report is marked pending, then reviewed. If more evidence is needed we'll ask. Once both sides are heard, we record a verdict — warning, listing removal, partner suspension, or no action — and notify you.
Will the company know I reported them?+
We share the details needed to investigate. Your private contact details are never published; we use them only to reach you with updates.
What if my deposit was not returned?+
Report it here as 'Deposit Not Returned' with your contract and payment proof. For unresolved cases we can escalate to our debt-collection partners to recover the amount.
How long does a resolution take?+
Most reports get a first response within 3 business days. Complex cases with evidence back-and-forth can take up to 14 days.
